No matter where you are going for your holiday, a large part of your budget will undoubtedly go to food.
And if you are like most travelers then you probably want to save money on your meals and snacks so you
can spend more on the other aspects of your trip, such as sightseeing, souvenir shopping and such. Here are
some tips to keep you gastronomically satisfied without going broke.
A lot of hotels, resorts and bed-and-breakfasts include breakfast in the room accommodation so it’s best to
take full advantage of this by making sure you fill up during this meal. This will prevent you from getting
hunger pangs during the morning.
Of course, no holiday would be complete without splurging in a restaurant at least once. If you want some
fine dining experience, try to reserve it for lunch as much as possible. For most people, lunch is the most
important meal of the day where they really need to fill up so if you’re going to spend big bucks on food,
do so at lunch.
Another good idea to save money on food is to do some research about the popular local restaurants in the
area. If a restaurant has a lot of local customers, you can rest assured that the food is great and the prices
are reasonable.
