A first-aid kit is one of the essential things that you need to bring when going on a holiday trip. Even though your destination will probably have plenty of drugstores or pharmacies where you can purchase basic first-aid supplies, it’s still cheaper and more convenient to have your own first-aid kit with you. If you are going to a third-world country or an adventure destination, there is also the chance that you might not be able to access first-aid supplies immediately.

Some of the things that you need to pack in your first-aid kit are aspirin or any other pain reliever, bandages, alcohol for sanitizing, antibiotic ointment, anti-diarrhea medication, sunscreen and insect repellant among others.

You don’t have to invest a lot in your first-aid kit. You can simply put the mentioned supplies in a sandwich bag that you can zip up and store in your bag. It’s important that you put your first-aid kit in your carry-on bag so it is easily within reach even during your plane ride. During sightseeing tours when you don’t want to weigh yourself down with a lot of baggage, you can bring your first-aid supplies in a fanny pack so you can leave your hands free.
